Reflexiones sobre el género y la participación a partir de procesos de arte comunitario en València

    Esta investigación nace del contexto actual donde los procesos de participación burocratizados y mercantilizados están en auge, y de la reivindicación de dos colectivos de la ciudad de València, Cabanyal Horta y la Assemblea Feminista, por generar procesos accesibles de participación comunitaria. En este sentido, se apuesta por la construcción de narrativas alternativas que favorezcan la creación de futuros a través de mecanismos artísticos de participación ciudadana.

    Por otro lado, la participación no puede analizarse como un hecho aislado de las estructuras de poder, por ello, desde la perspectiva feminista interseccional se aborda el análisis de la experiencia participativa de las mujeres en estas experiencias artísticas: en un grupo mixto y no organizado y en un grupo no mixto y organizado.

    De tal modo, se utiliza la Investigación-Acción Feminista como metodología preponderante junto con técnicas cualitativas. Algunos de los principales resultados evidencian, por una parte, el potencial de las intervenciones artísticas y su accesibilidad a una gran parte de la ciudadanía. Por otro lado, se señalan algunos obstáculos estructurales y contextuales que impiden una participación integral de todas las mujeres.

    This research stems from the current context where bureaucratised and commodified participation processes are on the rise, and from the demand of two groups in the city of Valencia, Cabanyal Horta and the Assemblea Feminista, to generate accessible processes of community participation. In this sense, there is a commitment to the creation of alternative narratives that favour the creation of futures through artistic mechanisms of citizen participation.

    On the other hand, participation cannot be analysed as a fact isolated from the structures of power, which is why, from an intersectional feminist perspective, the analysis of the participatory experience of women in these artistic experiences is approached: in a mixed and non-organised group and in a non-mixed and organised group.

    In this way, Feminist Action Research is used as the predominant methodology together with qualitative techniques. Some of the main results show, on the one hand, the potential of artistic interventions and their accessibility to a large part of the population. On the other hand, they point out some structural and contextual obstacles that prevent the full participation of all women.
