Resumen de (Re)construcciones de la categoría migrante en las memorias de mujeres chilenas en región parisina

  En este artículo abordamos los efectos de las elaboraciones del pasado en la producción situada de la categoría migrante. A través de las narrativas de posición respecto de la movilidad y la inmovilidad de 24 mujeres chilenas en región parisina, identificamos (re)construcciones conflictivas de lo migrante. La categoría se nutre del rol de la memoria en la creación significante de territorios, temporalidades y relaciones sociales, reproduciendo e igualmente interrogando los significados ofrecidos por fronteras físicas y sociales. Lo anterior resulta una contribución a la comprensión de la reciprocidad entre memorias y migraciones, relevando que no son sólo las migraciones las que construyen memorias particulares, sino que el hacer memoria también participa de la construcción de estas migraciones a través de reinterpretaciones de sus sentidos, orientaciones y posibilidades.

  In this article, we address the effects of the elaborations of the past on the situated production of the migrant category. Through the narratives of position regarding mobility and immobility of 24 Chilean women in the Parisian region, we identify conflictive (re)constructions of the migrant. The category is nourished by the role of memory in the significant creation of territories, temporalities and social relations, reproducing and also questioning the meanings offered by physical and social borders. This is a contribution to the understanding of the reciprocity between memories and migrations, revealing that it is not only migrant trajectories that construct memories, but that memory-making also participates in the construction of these trajectories, through reinterpretations of their meanings, orientations and possibilities.
