Resumen de Influencia del nivel socioeconómico, sexo y personalidad sobre el uso del tiempo libre

En esta investigación se intentó analizar experimentalmente la relación existente entre: a)nivel socioeconómico y uso del tiempo libre y b)personalidad y grado de satisfacción con el uso del tiempo libre.
Con tal fin se administraron a una muestra de 300 sujetos argentinos, entre 15 y 22 años de edad, de ambos sexos y pertenecientes a distintos estratos socioeconómicos, los siguientes instrumentos:
-un índice de nivel económico social para evaluar la posición del sujeto dentro de la estructura social.
-un cuestionario, elaborado por la autora, para recabar información acerca de diversos aspectos del uso del tiempo libre, tales como: cantidad de tiempo libre del que se dispone; si éste resulta o no suficiente; si durante la mayor parte del tiempo libre el sujeto está solo o acompañado; si puede elegir sus distracciones libremente, etc. El sujeto debía indicar, además de las actividades de tiempo libre que realizaba con mayor frecuencia, aquéllas que le gustaría realizar preferentemente. Finalmente, el cuestionario incluía preguntas específicas referidas a actividades típicas de tiempo libre, tales como: deportes, teatro, cine, televisión, etc.
-el Test 16 PF e Cattell para medir la personalidad del sujeto.
Se aplicaron diferentes técnicas estadísticas para medir la influencia del sexo y del nivel socioeconómico sobre los diversos aspectos del uso de tiempo libre y para comparar los perfiles de personalidad correspondientes a los dos grupos de sujetos que tenían, respectivamente, un alto grado de satisfacción y un bajo grado de satisfacción con el uso de si tiempo libre.

The purpose of this study was to analyze experimentally the relationship between: a)socioeconomic level ans spare time activities, b)personality and degree of satisfaction with these activities.
To a sample of 300 Argentine subjects between 15 and 22 years of age, of both sexes and belonging to different socioeconomic levels, the following instruments were administered_ -A socioeconomic level index to evaluate the placement of the subject within the social structure.
-A questionnaire, prepared by the author, to get information concerning different aspects of the matter, such as: amount of spare time, if it is sufficient or not, if the subject performs these spare time activities alone or in group, if the subject may choose his activities in freedom, etc. The subject had also to indicate the activities performed more frequently and those he preferred to perform. Finally, the questionnaire included specific questions concerning characteristic spare time activities such as: sports, theatre, television, etc.
-The Cattell´s 16 PF Test to evaluate the subject personality.
Different techniques were applied to measure the influence of sex and socioeconomic level on several aspects concerning spare time activities and to compare the personality profiles belonging to both groups os subjects (those with a low degree of satisfaction with the spare time activities and those with a high degree of satisfaction).
