Resumen de O Meio Urbano na Satisfação Residencial: Diferenças entre oCentro da Cidade eos Bairros

  The individual's perceptions regarding the urban environment in which they live are influenced by several factors, and there is an increasing effort to understand what they are and how they affect satisfaction. Therefore, neighborhoods and cities must be designed to meet the needs of individuals who live in that environment. However, there is little understanding of the differences between individuals’ perceptions when considering the housing location, concerning the existence of certain factors in the neighborhoods. Thus, this study explores the differences in perceptions between ndividuals who live in or near downtown and those who live in neighborhoods or more remote regions. A sample of 426 respondents from the South, Southeast and Midwest regions of the country was collected through a questionnaire that used the 5-point Likertscale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multivariate analyses. The results revealed which aspects are more significant in different regions of the cities. Among the three constructs studied, the factors that stood out were good schools,public transport and isolated neighborhoods

  As percepções do indivíduo em relação ao meio urbano no qual estão inseridos são influenciadas por diversos fatores, e cada vez mais se busca entender quais são e como eles afetam a satisfação. Neste sentido, os bairros e as cidades devem ser pensados para atender as necessidades dos indivíduos quevivem naquele meio. No entanto, há pouco entendimento das diferenças entre as percepções dos indivíduos quando se considera a localização das habitações, em relação à existência de certos fatores nos bairros. Assim, este estudo explora as diferenças de percepções entre os indivíduos que vivem nos centros das cidades, ou próximos a ele, e aqueles que vivem em bairros ou regiões mais afastadas. Foi coletada uma amostra com 426 respondentes, das regiões Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste do país, por meio de um questionário que utilizou a escala Likertde 5 pontos. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatísticas descritivas e análises multivariadas. Os resultados revelaram quais aspectos são mais significativos em diferentes regiões das cidades. Entre os três construtos estudados, os fatores que se destacaram foram boas escolas, transporte público e bairro isolado
