Resumen de Soggetto e verità: la scienza in Michel Foucault

Pierpaolo Cesaroni

  • The aim of this essay is to address the relationship between subject and truth in Michel Foucault from the viewpoint of his conception of science. The first purpose of the essay is to retrace the development of Foucault’s idea of science in the different phases of his thought. Secondly, the essay aims to show that Foucault’s perspective differs from that of the historical epistemology of Bachelard and Canguilhem, despite some elements in common. Finally, the essay attempts to establish the fecundity and limits of the Foucauldian perspective with reference to the current issue of the relationship between political government and scientific truth
