Cultivating a humanity projected towards a plural dimension authentically understood is possibleonly through the educational systems that today have the opportunity - contingent, theoretical and applicative -to found a new society. Dealing with intercultural pedagogy in a society like ours dominated by globalization, relativism and reification means necessarily confronting what man is, with his identity, reflect on the possibilities of encounter, of comparison and recognition, explore the educational needs that can, concretely, leadus towards a plural and democratic society. Where do attitudes of exclusion, marginalization, intolerance andracism arise? The answer to this question is articulated and complex and refers to very different contexts, butwe can indicate as a fundamental element of this ideological posture the denial of the constitutive peculiaritiesof the person as such, the non-recognition of its ontological and constitutive status. In the personalist perspective, the human person interpreted as a spiritual, material, historical, planning, relational, conscious and willfulunity, is the barycentre around which orbit, is composed and finalizes every type of activity, the call to theperson pushes to combine intellect and will, spirit and body, in a word: to form the character as a voluntarilyconstituted identity.
