Resumen de Poesia experimental i art urbà a primària: Un estudi sobre pensamentcrític i creativitat en el marc de la sostenibilitat

Alexandre Bataller Català, Julieta Torrents

  • This research presents an analysis of a primary school experience focused on creativity, both literary and artistic, through the creation of poetic texts exploring the relationship between the city and nature. The objective of the research is to examine whether hybrid poetic forms combining literature, urban art, anddigital elements are effective tools for fostering creativity and critical thinking in young learners. Both creativity and critical thinking are seen as instruments for social transformation, offering transformative learningexperiences and ethical contributions to the human sphere. The study took place in a public primary schoolin Valencia, where urban growth has gradually led to the disappearance of the historical orchard, resulting inecological and cultural losses. The research involved 6th-grade students divided into two groups. Preliminarysessions introduced them to various poems, experimental and digital, as well as urban art examples related tothe city versus orchard conflict. In the second phase, one group created experimental plastic poetry, while theother group produced digital works using the Scratch program. Creations inspired by street art exhibit greatercoherence and artistic development compared to digital creations. They engage in a dialogue between natureand urban surroundings, expressing critical and assertive messages. These results support the use of hybridpoetic and artistic forms for fostering creativity and critical thinking in primary school students.
