Teresa Coma Roselló, Ana Diez-Barturen Llombart, Jorge Bernad Vicente

  • In the subject of Social and Intercultural Education of the Degree in Teaching, Service-Learningprojects are developed, since this methodology promotes social commitment and a greater awareness of thedifferent realities of this complex society. The purpose of the study is to value the perception of the entities involved in this learning process for the consolidation of an ApSU network, as well as to assess their perspectiveon student learning. Twenty-six projects have been carried out in collaboration with social entities. Informationwas collected through two self-administered ad hoc questionnaires. The analysis and categorization offer satisfactory results in terms of the intercultural impact generated, both on the beneficiaries and on the students,as well as for the entity itself. In addition, the follow-up of the students by the entity and the development ofthe project are valued for the repercussions in the social context of the service. On the other hand, it has beenhighlighted the need to establish more moments of critical reflection, to take care of the previous informationprocess, as well as to have more emphasis on social commitment. These improvements will allow the generation of an increasingly consolidated network, a greater knowledge of the current reality, and a greater promotion of student participation.
