La inteligencia artificial ha experimentado un rápido avance, transformando diversos campos y desempeñando un papel destacado en la educación superior. El objetivo de este trabajo fue reflexionar sobre si la inteligencia artificial en el ámbito educativo, especialmente en la educación superior, representa una amenaza o una oportunidad que debe ser considerada en el proceso de formación. Para ello, se exploraron los modelos clave de IA, como las Redes Generativas Adversarias (GAN) y los Modelos de Lenguaje de Gran Tamaño (LLM), destacando su impacto en la sociedad y educación. Además, se mencionó que las herramientas de IA generativa han demostrado ser útiles en la generación de contenido natural. Se identificó que en el contexto educativo, la inteligencia artificial presenta desafíos y oportunidades. Su integración efectiva puede revolucionar la enseñanza, pero es importante tener en cuenta los posibles sesgos y la necesidad de utilizarla de manera ética. En este sentido, se detallan estrategias para el uso de herramientas de inteligencia artificial generativa, resaltando la importancia de brindar instrucciones precisas. Se concluyó subrayando la importancia de preparar a docentes y estudiantes para interactuar de manera responsable con la inteligencia artificial, destacando su potencial para fortalecer competencias blandas. Se reflexionó acerca de la importancia de establecer un enfoque colaborativo entre la inteligencia artificial y los educadores en las instituciones educativas, con el fin de construir un entorno de aprendizaje innovador y ético en la educación superior.

Artificial intelligence has been advancing rapidly, transforming various fields, and playing a prominent role in higher education. The aim of this paper was to reflect on whether artificial intelligence in education, especially in higher education, represents a threat or an opportunity that should be considered in the training process. To this end, key AI models such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Large Language Models (LLMs) were explored, highlighting their impact on society and education. Furthermore, it was mentioned that generative AI tools have proven to be useful in the generation of natural content. It was identified that in the educational context, artificial intelligence presents both challenges and opportunities. Its effective integration can revolutionize teaching, but it is important to be aware of potential biases and the need to use it ethically. In this regard, strategies for the use of generative artificial intelligence tools are detailed, highlighting the importance of providing precise instructions. It concluded by underlining the importance of preparing teachers and students to interact responsibly with artificial intelligence, highlighting its potential to strengthen soft skills. It reflected on the importance of establishing a collaborative approach between artificial intelligence and educators in educational institutions to build an innovative and ethical learning environment in higher education
