La hiperplasia fibrosa de las tuberosidades palatinas es la afectación localizada de la fibromatosis gingival. Se caracteriza por un agrandamiento del tejido gingival, de aspecto rosado y firme, que puede alterar la masticación y la fonación y producir consecuencias estéticas y psicológicas en la cavidad oral.
Se presenta el caso de una paciente remitida por su médico de atención primaria a la Unidad de Salud Bucodental por una lesión asintomática, bilateral en el paladar.

Fibrous hyperplasia of the palatine tuberosities is the localized involvement of gingival fibromatosis. It is characterized by an enlargement of the gingival tissue, with a pink and firm appearance, which can alter chewing and phonation with aesthetic and psychological consequences in the oral cavity.
We present the case of a patient referred from Primary Care physician to the Dentistry due to an asymptomatic and bilateral lesion on the palate.
