Resumen de Los revestimientos y pinturas del estanque del patio de las doncellas del Real Alcázar de Sevilla

  Los paramentos de la alberca central del Patio de las Doncella del Palacio Mudéjar del Rey Pedro I de Castilla tuvieron un revestimiento de mortero de cal con acabado decorativo de dibu jo geométrico de lacería mudéjar. Estas pinturas son de color rojo sobre fondo de amarillo muy suave. Corresponden al año 1356, finales del siglo XIV. Con posterioridad, a finales del siglo XV, mediados del siglo XVI, sobre el revestimiento anterior se volvió a aplicar un mortero de cal con decoración de ondas en varias hileras alternando el color amarillo muy suave y azul. A la vista de las muestras y los ensayos efectuados se considera que en su día en su ejecu ción se procuró utilizar unos morteros de cal de alta calidad. Se aproximaron a lo que sería un mortero de estuco por su riqueza en cal. Sobre este enlucido fino, con líneas incisas que delimi tan los colores se ha aplicado a modo de pintura una jabelga, mezcla de cal y pigmentos, de tal modo que sobre el enlucido mantenido húmedo se forme un cuerpo el mortero de enlucido con la pintura. Los dibujos del revestimiento de ondas del siglo XV-XVI se realizaron con plantilla. Originariamente la decoración debió ser deslumbrante, con las geometrías de gran belleza desarrolladas en las pinturas y sus colores luminosos vistos a través de la vibración del agua, armonizando ésta con los alizares, los árboles y las flores del jardín, sus aromas, todo el con junto de la arquitectura del patio con la luz del cielo azul de Sevilla

  The wall facings of the central pond of the “Patio de las Doncellas del Palacio Mudéjar del Rey Pedro I de Castilla” had a lining of mortar of lime with ornamental finish of geometric drawning of Mudejar bow manufacture. These paintings are of red color on bottom of very light yellow. This Patio was built in 1356. Between the end of XV century and the middle of XVI century, on the previous lining, it was applied a new mortar of lime with decoration of waves in several arrays alternating the very light yellow and blue color. The results obtained show that in its construction was used mortars of lime of high quality. They approached to what would be a stucco mortar fot their high content in lime. On this fine plaster, with incised lines that define the colors, it has been applied a lime wash, a mixture of lime and pigments. The drawnings of the lining of waves of the XV-XVI century were carried out with templates. In its origin, the decoration should be dazzling, with beautiful geometries developed in the paintings and its luminous colors sight across the water vibration, harmonizing this one with the friezes of glazed tiles, the trees and the flowers of the garden, its aromas. The whole group of the architecture of the Patio harmonize with the light of the blue sky of Seville.
