Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate cyclic fatigue fracture resistance of Endogal nickel-titanium instruments under dierent speeds.
Methods: The instruments were tested in two dierent speeds, subjected to cyclic fatigue tests, reciprocated until fracture occurred.
Results: Instruments 20.04 and 25.04 of the Endogal® system rotated in alternating movement at 150º/30° are more resistant to cyclical fatigue at 400rpm, when speed decreases. No dierences were observed in time to fracture (TF) for instruments 15.03 and 25.06 operated at 150º/30º at both speeds.
Conclusions: Within the limitations of the present study and according to the results obtained, the 150/30° reciprocating movement at 400rpm is more resistant to cyclic fatigue when used in the Endogal® 20.04 and 25.04 instruments. There were no differences in the rest of the instruments in the dierent speeds used.
