Resumen de El «ambiente» universitario en el entorno de Amato Lusitano

En el presente trabajo hemos realizado una visión general desde finales del -siglo XV sobre el ambiente universitario de los reinos de España, haciendo especial hincapié en aquello que creemos pudo influir de forma concluyente en la vida y obra de Amato Lusitano. La universidad de Salamanca con la revisión de la Biblia de Vatable, en la polémica que enfrentó a los hebraístas Gaspar de Grajal, Martínez de Cantalapiedra y Fray Luis de León, con los latinistas, será revisada dentro de su contexto histórico, al igual que el papel desempeñado por la Inquisición.

In the present work we have made a general view since the end of the 15th century about the university environment of the kingdoms of Spain, with special emphasis on what we believe could have a conclusive influence on the life and work of Amatus Lusitanus. The University of Salamanca with the revision of the Vatable Bible, in the controversy that confronted the Hebraists, Gaspar de Grajal, Martínez of Cantalapiedra and Fray Luis de León, to the Latinists, will be reviewed within its historical context, as well as the role played by the lnquisition.
