    La brecha digital en América Latina y el Caribe, marcada por las desigualdades en el acceso y las habilidades tecnológicas, impacta negativamente en el desarrollo social y económico. El artículo destaca la relevancia del acceso a Internet y propone políticas y cooperación internacional, como la iniciativa Global Gateway de la UE, para fomentar la inversión en infraestructuras digitales y educación tecnológica. La autora subraya la importancia de un enfoque colaborativo para una inclusión digital sostenible en la región.

    The digital divide in Latin America and the Caribbean, marked by inequalities in access and technological skills, negatively impacts social and economic development. The article highlights the importance of Internet access and proposes policies and international cooperation, such as the EU’s Global Gateway initiative, to promote investment in digital infrastructure and technology education. The author stresses the importance of a collaborative approach for sustainable digital inclusion in the region.
