The Basque educational community is facing a historic moment. After several months of negotiation, a new educational act that will regulate the whole educational system of the Basque Autonomous Community is about to be enacted. Throughout this process, a public debate on the educational system has been sparked and numerous contributions to it have been reported in the Basque press. The aim of this study is to analyze how these contributions have affected the debate on the educational system, through a documentary analysis of the Basque press. Segregation, school ownership and the Basque language have had the greatest prominence, but it has been detected that the scarce depth and proposal of what has been dealt with, has hampered the debate.
Euskal hezkuntza-komunitatea momentu historiko baten aurrean dago, hainbat hilabetetako hitzarmen eta negoziazio prozesuaren ondotik, EAEko hezkuntza-sistema osoa arautuko duen lege berria iristear baitago. Prozesu horretan zehar, hezkuntza-sistemari buruzko eztabaida piztu da eta euskal prentsan eztabaida horri buruzko ekarpen ugari jaso dira. Ikerlan honen helburua, hain zuzen ere, ekarpen horiek hezkuntza-sistemari buruzko eztabaidari nola eragin dioten aztertzea da, euskal prentsan argitaratutakoaren analisi dokumentala eginez. Segregazioa, titulartasuna eta euskara izan dira protagonismo handiena izan duten gaiak, baina landutakoaren sakontasun eta proposamen urritasunaren ondorioz, eztabaida elikatu beharrean, trabatu egin dutela antzeman dugu.
