La esperanza de vida aumenta en nuestra sociedad y con ella se incrementa el número de personas mayores, con unas características propias del envejecimiento que repercuten funcionalmente en la salud general pero también a nivel bucodental. Desde las unidades de salud bucodental les proporcionaremos pautas para mantener una higiene bucal adecuada de dientes y encías y adiestramiento en mantenimiento de prótesis, tanto fijas como removibles, tanto para los propios pacientes como para sus cuidadores.

Life expectancy increases in our society and with it the number of older people increases, with characteristics typical of aging that functionally impact general health but also oral health. From the oral health units we will provide guidelines to maintain adequate oral hygiene of teeth and gums and training in maintenance of prostheses, both fixed and removable, both for the patients themselves and their caregivers.
