Se registra por primera vez para aguas chilenas a Cymonomus menziesi. Los especímenes analizados se colectaron a 500 m de profundidad frente a Chiloé, durante el desarrollo de la Expedición SO-156 del R/V "Sonne" realizada en el marco del programa de investigación sobre las comunidades bentónicas asociadas a la zona de mínimo oxígeno a lo largo del margen continental de Chile. Cymonomus menziesi is cited by first time to Chile. The specimens were caught during a survey on board of R/V "Sonne", the material was derived from project on benthic communities in the oxygen minimum zone along the Chilean coast line. The specimens were obtained from one station at 500 m depth off Chiloe. The female specimen of this species is described, and the preliminary aspects about its biology are showed. The presence of this species in southernmost 30 latitudinal degrees from the original report is discussed here
