Resumen de Perspectiva del Turismo ante la inseguridad en Esmeraldas, Ecuador

  El turismo es una industria que ha venido creciendo en todo el mundo, y que ha sido un motor importante para el desarrollo económico de muchas regiones y países; constituye una importante fuente de ingresos para muchas regiones del mundo, incluida la provincia de Esmeraldas en Ecuador. Sin embargo, la inseguridad puede afectar negativamente el desarrollo socio económico del sector turístico. En este artículo se analiza la perspectiva económica del turismo frente a la inseguridad en el cantón Esmeraldas, provincia de Esmeraldas, Ecuador. Para lograr este objetivo, se llevó a cabo un estudio con una muestra de turistas que visitaron la región, y se analizó el impacto de la inseguridad en la percepción y el comportamiento de los turistas. Se realizó una extensa revisión bibliográfica y análisis de datos secundarios para evaluar el impacto de la inseguridad en el turismo local. Se concluyó que la inseguridad afecta negativamente a la actividad turística en la región, produciendo pérdidas económicas importantes. Por lo tanto, se sugieren estrategias para mejorar la seguridad y fomentar el turismo en la zona.

  Tourism is an industry that has been growing throughout the world, and has been an important engine for the economic development of many regions andcountries; it constitutes an important source of income for many regions of the world, including the province of Esmeraldas in Ecuador. However, insecurity cannegatively affect the socio-economic development of the tourism sector. This article analyzes the economic perspective of tourism in the face of insecurity in the Esmeraldas canton, Esmeraldas province, Ecuador. To achieve this objective, a study was carried out with a sample of tourists who visited the region, and the impact of insecurity on the perception and behavior of tourists was analyzed. An extensive literature review and analysis of secondary data was carried out to assess the impact of insecurity on local tourism. It was concluded that insecurity negatively affects tourism in the region, producing significant economic losses. Therefore, strategies are suggested to improve security and promote tourism in the area.
