    Se describen inclusiones intraeritrocitarias detectadas en la sangre de los lacértidos Podarcis bocagei y P. carbonelli, detectadas bajo dos formas: inclusiones vacuolizadas y opacas, e inclusiones acidófilas rodeadas por una zona difusa. Estas inclusiones corresponden a LEV (Virus Intraeritrocitarios de Lagartos, en sus siglas en inglés) y resultan diferentes de otros tipos de inclusiones encontradas en otros grupos de reptiles, en anfibios y en peces. Contrariamente a lo que ocurre con otros parásitos intraeritrocitarios, no hay diferencias de tamaño o forma en los eritrocitos infectados y no infectados por LEV.

    Intraerythrocytic inclusions in the blood of the lizards Podarcis bocagei and P. carbonelli are described. They correspond to two morphological types: vacuolated inclusions and acidophilic inclusions surrounded by a diffuse area. These inclusions are considered LEV (Lizard Erythrocytic Virus) and differ from other inclusions found in other reptiles, amphibians and fish. There are no differences in the size or shape of erythrocytes infected and non-infected by LEV, contrary to that observed in the case of other intraerythrocytic parasites.
