Resumen de Influencias del colonialismo sobre la situación sociolingüística en Mauritania

Este artículo aborda el tema de la influencia de la colonización y del colonialismo en las lenguas y formas de hablar. Las lenguas son las bases de la cultura y son muy importantes en la constitución, desarrollo y consolidación de las identidades culturales de los pueblos. Consideradas como el pilar y el vehículo principal de la cultura de las sociedades, están marcadas en África y Mauritania en particular por su carácter oral. Intentaremos presentar Mauritania y su pasado colonial de forma muy breve. Luego, describiremos en segundo lugar el ambiente lingüístico en Mauritania antes de la época colonial. Finalmente, abordaremos, a través de dos ejes principales, por un lado, los efectos fonológicos y léxicos del francés en las lenguas nacionales, y por otro, el uso y estatuto de esta lengua en los ámbitos administrativo, cultural, educativo y extraescolar.

This article addresses the theme of the influence of colonization, colonialism on languages and ways of speaking. Languages are the bases of culture and are very important in the constitution, development and consolidation of the cultural identities of peoples. Considered as the pillar and the main vehicle of the culture of societies, they are marked in Africa and Mauritania in particular by their oral character. We will first try to present Mauritania and its colonial past in a very brief way. Then, we will describe in the second place, the linguistic envi- ronment in Mauritania before the colonial era. Finally, we will approach, through two main axes, on the one hand, the phonological and lexical effects of French on national languages and on the other hand, the use and status of this language in administrative, cultural, educational and outside school.
