    El dengue es la enfermedad ocasionada porun arbovirus de mayor incidencia en el mundoy su impacto económico sobre la productividadde los países afectados es muy importante. Sinembargo, hasta el momento no existe una terapiaespecífica para la enfermedad y hay muypocos estudios sobre el tema.Esta revisión pretende recopilar los resultadosde los trabajos originales que existen enla literatura sobre las intervenciones utilizadasen humanos para el tratamiento del denguedurante la etapa aguda de la enfermedad. Seabordaron los siguientes temas: reemplazo delíquidos, antipiréticos, tratamiento de las hemorragias,tratamiento de la trombocitopenia, usode corticoides y otras medidas terapéuticas.

    Dengue is the disease caused by arbovirus of greater incidence in the world and its economic impact on the productivity of the affected countries is very important. Nevertheless, until the moment there is not any specific therapy for this disease and there are very few studies on the subject. This review compiles the results of the original studies that exist in literature about medicine interventions in humans to treat dengue during the acute phase of the disease. The following topics were included: fluid replacement, antipyretics, treatment of bleeding, treatment of thrombocytopenia, use of corticoids and other therapeutic interventions.
