Resumen de Historia de las juventudes en Argentina: Perspectivas historiográficas para su estudio en la primera mitad del siglo XX

Las investigaciones sobre historia de las juventudes conforman un campo reciente dentro de la historiografía argentina. Si bien de modo predominante estos trabajos se enfocaron en las culturas juveniles a partir de la década de 1960, recientemente se ha comenzado a indagar respecto de las prácticas y representaciones sobre las juventudes en períodos anteriores. Con el objetivo de analizar estas últimas producciones, en el artículo se identifican distintas aproximaciones temáticas y metodológicas del estudio de la historia de las juventudes en Argentina de la primera mitad del siglo XX. De modo complementario, en correspondencia con los procesos que han sido señalados para el ámbito europeo y norteamericano sobre la construcción de las juventudes desde finales del siglo XIX, el trabajo plantea interrogantes y posibles temas de análisis que contribuyan a pensar las juventudes en clave local y transnacional.

Research on the history of youths is a recent field within Argentine historiography. Although these works predominantly focused on youth cultures from the 1960s, researchers have recently begun to investigate the youths’ practices and representations in previous periods. In order to analyze these latest productions, the article identifies different thematic and methodological approaches in the history of youths’ study in Argentina in the first half of the 20th century. In correspondence with the processes that have been highlighted for the European and North American sphere on the construction of youths since the end of the 19th century, this work complementarily raises questions and possible topics for analysis that will allow to think about youths in a local and transnational manner.
