Resumen de El legado clásico judío-romano en manuscritos y crónicas de Indias: una aproximación desde las obras del sabio e historiador judío Flavio Josefo

El artículo traza como objetivo general visibilizar el resurgimiento, la recepción e influencia judío-romana en manuscritos y crónicas del siglo XVI mediante el análisis de las obras de Flavio Josefo (siglo I d. C.).Destaca cómo y por qué a pesar de ser periodos históricos distantes el ideal del mundo judío-romano reaparece en el siglo XVI. Se plantea quelas crónicas de la Edad Moderna, al mantener una estrecha relación con la historia y la memoria de los pueblos, así como también con las narrativas y los múltiples géneros literarios, van a alimentar a los imaginarios de los cronistas ansiosos de registrar historias cimentadas de sus pasados regresando a los legados clásicos antiguos para revalorizar su presente. Se demuestra que aquellos manuscritos y crónicas antiguas principalmente con repertorios fundacionales lograron instalar una autoridad discursiva sostenida en modelos clásicos.

The general objective of the article is to make visible the resurgence, reception and Jewish-Roman influence in manuscripts and Chronicles from the 16th century through the analysis of the works of Josephus (1st century AD). It highlights how and why, despite being distant historical periods, the ideal of the Jewish-Roman world reappears in the 16th century.It is argued that the chronicles of the Modern Age maintaining a close relationship with the history and memory of peoples, as well as with narratives and multiple literary genres these will feed the imaginariesof chroniclers eager to record stories grounded in their past by returning to the ancient classical legacies to revalue their present. It is shown that those ancient manuscripts and chronicles mainly with foundational repertoires managed to install a sustained discursive authority in classical models.
