Phraseological units are classified into 5 main groups according to lexico-semantic function and notional words: indicative, related to career and social connections, related to religion, related to philosophy and culture, and related to time and space The results demonstrate the indicative function of the phraseological units in the text — conveying information to the readers and focusing their attention on the key points of the study. The academic novelty of the research is the use of the texts on the Humanities due to the appeal to images that are universal for the readers’ minds as examples of the use of phraseological units in a scientific style.
