Sport injuries are one of the most preoccupant situations that could be affect to sportspeople. Factors that could have influence on sport injuries are countless, one of them is the range of movement of the sportspeople.
The main objective of this article is to compile different studies and researches about the existent relation between flexibility and sport injuries. Most of studies agree that the flexibility is a risk factor for the injuries, but we can found some studies where the results are contradictory. It is very difficult to separate the flexibility risk factor, because there are more important risk factors that intervene on sports injuries.
Finally we will emphasize the importance of the warm-up before any physical activity and subsequently the importance of a good range of movement to prevent possible injuries while sport practice.
