  • Resumen
    • This paper describes the numerical simulation of a six floor reinforced concretebuilding, experimentally tested on a shaking table. In the context of an internationalbenchmark each wall of the building was submitted to three consecutive earthquakes, withincreasing intensities. Concrete is discretised with 2D finite elements, and its behaviour isreproduced by a constitutive model with two scalar damage variables. Steel rebars arerepresented by 2-noded truss elements, and its cyclic behaviour reproduced by theGiuffré-Menegotto-Pinto model. Main results and strategies for simulating the benchmarkare presented, with emphasis on the comparison between the numerical and the experimentalresults.
