La máxima de este artículo está dada en reflexionar acerca de cómo el proceso de orientación y seguimiento puede contribuir a elevar la calidad de la educación en el contexto educativo actual en respuesta a la diversidad educativa. Se parte del hecho de que el siglo XXI está caracterizado por grandes cambios y crisis en todas las esferas de la vida humana. En este marco, el contexto educativo cubano se encuentra inmerso en el Tercer Perfeccionamiento y establece como objetivo fundamental, elevar la calidad de la educación a planos superiores. Los Centros de diagnóstico y Orientación (CDO), ocupan un rol insustituible a través del proceso de orientación y seguimiento en la búsqueda de soluciones para una diseñar el proceso educativo en respuesta a la diversidad utilizando como vía expedita el diagnóstico y la orientación psicopedagógica. En su evolución en el sistema educativo cubano, el proceso de orientación y seguimiento, se ha transformado de ser concebido como instrumento para la clasificación, en una vía para la atención de los educandos con necesidades educativas especiales. En la actualidad, en el perfeccionamiento continuo que caracteriza al sistema los procesos de orientación contribuyen a elevar la calidad de la educación y se concibe el diagnóstico en función de minimizar las barreras para la participación y el aprendizaje reto que asumen los equipos multidisciplinarios.
The maxim of this article is given in reflecting on how the orientation and monitoring process can contribute to raising the quality of education in the current educational context in response to educational diversity. It starts from the fact that the 21st century is characterized by great changes and crises in all spheres of human life. In this framework, the Cuban educational context is immersed in the Third Improvement and establishes as a fundamental objective, to raise the quality of education to higher levels. The Diagnostic and Guidance Centers (CDO) play an irreplaceable role through the guidance and monitoring process in the search for solutions to design the educational process in response to diversity using diagnosis and psychopedagogical guidance as an expedited route. In its evolution in the Cuban educational system, the orientation and follow-up process has been transformed from being conceived as an instrument for classification, into a way to care for students with special educational needs. At present, in the continuous improvement that characterizes the system, the orientation processes contribute to raising the quality of education and the diagnosis is conceived in order to minimize the barriers to participation and the learning challenge assumed by multidisciplinary teams.
