Logistica de almacenamiento de materia prima en la industria farmacéutica

    Al transcurrir los años y conforme evoluciona el fenómeno logístico, el concepto de almacén ha ido variando y ampliando su ámbito de responsabilidad. El almacén de materias primas se caracteriza por ser una unidad de servicio y soporte en la estructura funcional del área de producción de cualquier industria, teniendo un mayor grado de responsabilidad en la industria farmacéutica, porque los productos tendrán el objetivo de curar, prevenir o diagnosticar patologías en seres humanos; de manera que se tendrán que cumplir los objetivos bien enmarcados de resguardo, custodia, control y abastecimiento. El impacto de un correcto almacenamiento se reflejará de manera directa en la calidad del medicamento que se produce, por ende si no se cuenta con un correcto almacenamiento de la materia prima el tiempo de vida útil de dicho medicamento no será el que indica el envase, ocasionando gastos injustificados por el paciente.

    As the years pass and as evolves the logistics phenomenon, the concept of storage has been changing and expand-ing its area of responsibility. The storage of raw material is characterized for being a unit of service and support in the func-tional structure of the production area of any industry taking greater responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry, because the products will aim to cure, prevent or diagnose pathologies in humans; so that they will have to meet very deined tar-gets of custody, control and supply. The impact of proper storage will be reflect-ed directly in the quality of the produced drug, for instnace is there is not a proper storage of the raw material the lifetime of the drug will not be the one mention-ated on package causing unwarranted expenditure by the patient
