Resumen de Análisis crítico de la noticia digital oficial sobre la mujer como ente sociopolítico en Venezuela

La presente investigación se enfoca en 16 noticias cortas publicadas entre marzo de2016 y mayo de 2017 por el Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Comunicación e Información, organismo oficial del gobierno de Venezuela. Dichas noticias son, en apariencia, un vehículo informativo sobre las mujeres o para ellas. Se emplea la matriz del cuadrado ideológico propuesto porvan Dijk (1996b, 20-21) para analizar 1) los titulares de las noticias que contienen combinaciones libres llamativas o inusuales y 2) el contenido ideologizante de la noticia. El objetivo es determinar y exponer si se exhiben rasgos contrastivos 'nosotras(os)' vs. 'ellas(os)', entendiendo 'nosotras(os)'como las mujeres (o un colectivo que las incluye en su mayoría) que apoyan al gobierno, y'ellas(os)' como las(os) que están fuera de ese círculo de apoyo. Se concluye que el empleo de estrategias discursivas que siguen este patrón en las noticias oficiales conlleva la intención implícita de mantener y profundizar el proceso de ideologización y polarización de la población venezolana.

This paper focuses on 16 short news reports published between March 2016 and May2017 by the Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Comunicación e Información, an official entitymanaged by the Government of Venezuela. In appearance, such news reports function as an infor-mational vehicle to talk about women or to women. I employ the matrix of the ideological square(van Dijk 1996b, 20-21) to analyze 1) the headlines of news with striking or unusual free collocations, and 2) the ideological content of the reports. The objective is to determine if there are contrastive features 'us' vs. 'them' and to shed light on them, understanding that 'us' refers to thewomen (or a collective within which they are a majority) who support the government, and 'them'refers to those outside that group. I conclude that the employment of discourse strategies that fol-low this pattern in official news carries the implicit intention of strengthening the process of ideol-ogization and polarization among Venezuelan citizens.
