Resumen de Implementación de la fase II del POUZ en la facultad de Veterinaria: Orientación de estudiantes

  En 2016-2017 se ha continuado con el desarrollo de la Fase I del Plan de Orientación Universitaria (POUZ) y se ha implementado la Fase II en los Grados de Veterinaria (VET) y Ciencia y Tecnología de los Alimentos (CTA) impartidos en la Facultad de Veterinaria de la Universidad de Zaragoza. Los objetivos de este trabajo son presentar el modelo adaptado del POUZ a las peculiaridades de nuestro centro y de su alumnado, así como mostrar la valoración de éste por parte de los tutores implicados. Han participado un total de 7 tutores (4 VET, 3 CTA). La mayoría son Profesores Titulares de Universidad (42,8%), un 28,6% Profesores Contratado Doctor y sólo un 14,3% son Profesor Asociado o Catedrático de Universidad. Cada tutor ha sido responsable de un curso completo, asignándole entre 58-66 alumnos (CTA) y 146-180 (VET). Los tutores han realizado dos reuniones, al inicio de cada cuatrimestre y han atendido a los estudiantes a demanda de forma individualizada. El número medio de tutorías individualizadas ha sido 14, oscilando entre <5 (16,7%), 5-10 (33,3%) y 10-20 (50%). Todos los tutores han realizado orientación académica, el 85,3% trataron el tema de movilidad y prácticas en empresas, el 50% orientaron sobre estudios de máster y doctorado, el 33,3% sobre los TFG y un 16,7% sobre organización, gestión del tiempo y becas de colaboración. El 33,3% de los tutores considera que es sufciente un tutor por curso, si bien al ser grupos tan numerosos sólo se pueden tratar temas de forma generalizada y resulta difícil conocer las peculiaridades individuales de cada alumno, al contrario de lo que ocurría con el anterior plan tutor

  Phase I of the University Orientation Plan (POUZ) has continued during the academic course 2106-2017 and phase II has been implemented in the Degree of Veterinary Medicine (VET) and Science and Food Technology (CTA) taughtin the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zaragoza. The main objective of this project is to show the adapted model of POUZ to the peculiarities of our Center and its students, as well as to evaluate its development by the involved tutors. A total of 7 tutors (4 VET, 3 CTA) have participated. Most of them are Senior Lecturer (42.8%), 28.6% Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow and only 14.3% are Teaching Fellow or Professor. Each tutor has been responsible for a full course, assigning between 58-66 students (CTA) and 146-180 (VET). Tutors have held two meetings, at the beginning of each semester and have attended to demand students on an individual basis. The average number of individualized tutoring has been 14, oscillating between <5 (16.7%), 5-10 (33.3%) and 10-20 (50%). All tutors have developed academic orientation, 85.3% mobility and work placements, 50% master and doctorate, 33.3% TFG and 16.7% organization, time management and grants. 33.3% of tutor consider that one tutor per course is enough, while being so numerous groups only issues can be widely treated and it is difcult to know the individual peculiarities of each student, contrary to what was happening with the previous orientation plan
