    El presente artículo pretende analizar los hechos más destacados de la biografía y la bibliografía de Javier Valcarce y sus relaciones literarias con Ramón del Valle Inclán y Rubén Darío. Valcarce llegó a Madrid en plena juventud absolutamente decidido a vivir de los frutos de su pluma, la consecución de un premio de cuentos en un certamen organizado por el periódico El Liberal(1908) aumentó su fama y su prestigio e incluso algunos críticos lo señalaron como uno de los escritores con mejores cualidades y virtudes del momento, entre la numerosa pléyade de jóvenes que engrosaba las tertulias literarias de los cafés y los círculos bohemios madrileños, a comienzos del siglo XX

    This article will focus on the analysis the most important facts of Javier Valcarce's biography and bibliography and his literary relations with Ramón del Valle Inclán and Rubén Darío. Valcarce arrived in Madrid in full youth absolutely determined to live off the fruits of his pen, the achievement of a short story prize in a contest organized by the newspaper El Liberal (1908) increased him fame and prestige and even some critics pointed to him as one of the writers with the best qualities and virtues of that moment, among the numerous pleiad of young who took part the literary gatherings of Madrid's cafés and bohemian circles, at the beginning of the twentieth century.
