Este artículo propone una línea de investigación sobre la importancia del rescate de los Centros Históricos. Específicamente se plantean que ante el crecimientode las ciudades y el evidente cambio de patrones tanto en la demografía como en el crecimiento y desarrollo urbano, es necesario la recuperación de los centro histórico, no sólo por su impacto visible en el patrimonio sino también por su contribución paulatina y constante a las condiciones de vida de las personas que viven en la zona y así lograr preservar su integridad y su originalidad.

This article suggests a line of research about the importance of the Historic Centers rescue. Specifically raised to address the growth of cities and the real change in demographic patterns and the urban development, it is necessary to recover the historical center, not only because of its impact on the heritage but also for its gradual and steady contribution to the living conditions of people staying in the area.
