    The Vulci dices, which bear the first six Etruscan numbers inscribed on their sides, are a key document, kept in Paris in the Cabinet des Médailles. New documentation has recently appeared on these objects, drawings which were made at the request of the Duke of Luynes, who had bought them after their discovery in 1848. The dices were then intact, while their current state is very poor, which the most recent publications do not take into account. These publications also give drawings on which the arrangement of the inscriptions on the faces is inexact.

    I dadi di Vulci, che recano incisi sulle facce i primi sei numeri etruschi scritti in lettere, sono un documento capitale, conservato a Parigi nel Cabinet des Médailles. Di recente è apparsa nuova documentazione su questi oggetti. I disegni furono realizzati su richiesta del duca di Luynes, che li aveva acquistati dopo la loro scoperta nel 1848. I dadi erano allora intatti, mentre il loro stato attuale, del quale le più recenti pubblicazioni non tengono conto, è molto misero. Queste pubblicazioni riportano anche disegni sui quali la disposizione delle iscrizioni sulle facce è inesatta.
