Estudio de la filiación religiosa en Ecuador

    Este artículo tiene como objetivo describir, analizar y comparar los datos proporcionados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (INEC) y WIN-Gallup International, acerca de la filiación religiosa en Ecuador y el resto del mundo. Para ello se hará un recorrido por las definiciones de las principales religiones y la postura de las personas que se consideran agnósticas o ateas, así como por las variables de número de miembros e índices de religiosidad y ateísmo en el mundo. También se analizarán los datos de acuerdo a la ubicación geográfica, tomando en cuenta las principales ciudades del Ecuador. Para cumplir con el objetivo propuesto, se ejecutó un estudio descriptivo sobre la filiación religiosa actual, en Ecuador. Uno de los datos que dio a conocer esta investigación, es que Ecuador sigue siendo un país con un alto índice de religiosidad, sobre todo por la gran cantidad de católicos, protestantes y de otros movimientos religiosos que alberga.

    This article aims to describe, analyze and compare the data provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC ) and WIN- Gallup International, on religious affiliation in Ecuador and the world . For this will be a tour of the definitions of the major religions and the position of people who consider themselves agnostics or atheists , as well as the number of member variables and indices of religiosity and atheism in the world. Data according to the geographic location will also be analyzed , taking into account the main cities of Ecuador . To meet this objective, a descriptive study on the current religious affiliation, ran in Ecuador. One of the data released this research is that Ecuador is still a country with a high level of religiosity , especially the large number of Catholic, Protestant and other religious movements within it.
