Resumen de Peatonalidad en las galerias obarrios

  Este estudio mapea el flujo de peatones alrededor y a través del edificio de locales comerciales, Galerías Obarrio. Debido a su configuración en la planta baja, este es un edificio que sirve como espacio de interconexión y transición entre las calles perimetrales. Para realizar este mapea miento se instalaron 3 cámaras para filmar simultáneamente durante un periodo de 55 minutos. Además se realizaron distintas visitas y observaciones para determinar el mejor horario y posición de las cámaras para la filmación, de manera a capturar el patrón del flujo de peatones en un horario especifico. Al observar los videos realizados se hizo un aproximado de las personas que pasan por este sector en una hora, dando un resultado de 496 personas. Los cálculos obtenidos de ese censo son que un 56.45% de personas transitan por el pasillo interno de la plaza, un 30.24% de personas recorren las aceras próximas al edificio, ya que las adyacentes a la calle son muy estrechas y por estas mismas aceras transitan un 13.31% de personas.

  Panama City is in constant growth. For this reason, the government has invested millions of dollars to improve one of its main problems, transportation. Enabling new transport means and building new sidewalks for its population, however, this doesn’t seem to improve the quality of pedestrian traffic due to different factors, including the weather. Due to this, we have decided to study the building of commercial premises, Galleries Obarrio. This is a building that serves as a transition space in the city. In order to carry out this research, we carried out different visits, observations and videos, in order to better analyze the disordered behavior of pedestrians. Observing the videos made an approximate of the people who pass through this sector in an hour, giving a result of 496 people. The calculations obtained from this census are that 56.45% of people transit through the internal corridor of the square, 30.24% of people walk the sidewalks near the building, since those adjacent to the street are very narrow and by these same sidewalks transit 13.31% of people.
