    The purpose of the article is to address two central events in the trajectory of Alberto Besouchet. They are: his protagonism in the armed rebellion in Pernambuco in November 1935; and the episode of his disappearance while fighting alongside the republican troops against General Francisco Franco -during the Spanish civil war (1936-1939). For that end, this study will make use of the documentation of the Special Police Station for Political and Social Security (APERJ), sources of the Communist International (Edgard Leuenroth/Unicamp Archive), information notes by the leader of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCB) Honório de Freitas Guimarães (Documentation and Memory/Unesp), the newspaper A Classe Operária, as wellas letters from brothers Augusto and Lídia Besouchet. On the condition that working with the character Alberto Besouchet allows the observance of the links between global and local antifascism, it is intended to analyze how he was inserted in the conflictbetween the different left molds in the interwar period.

    A proposta do artigo é abordar dois eventos centrais na trajetória de Alberto Besouchet, a saber, o protagonismo na rebelião armada em Pernambuco em novembro de 1935 e o episódio de seu desaparecimento enquanto lutava ao lado das tropas republicanas contra o general Francisco Franco durante a Guerra Civil Espanhola (1936-1939). Para tanto, utilizaremos a documentação da Delegacia Especial de Segurança Política e Social (APERJ), as fontes da Internacional Comunista (Arquivo Edgard Leuenroth/Unicamp), as notas informativas do dirigente do Partido Comunista do Brasil (PCB) Honório de Freitas Guimarães (Centro de Documentação e Memória/Unesp), o jornal A Classe Operáriae as cartas dos irmãos Augusto e Lídia Besouchet. Se trabalhar com Alberto Besouchet nos permite observar os vínculos entre o antifascismo global e local, analisaremos como o personagem se inseriu no conflito entre as distintas forças de esquerda no período entreguerras.
