Resumen de Primer registro del género oxyrhynchus brandegee (fabaceae) en Panamá.

  Durante una gira de campo al corregimiento de Santa Rosa (provincia de Chiriquí) en diciembre del 2019, se recolectó una llamativa liana con flores morado-rosadas, hojas trifoliadas y foliolos trinervados. Mediante la consulta de literatura taxonómica especializada y comparaciones de especímenes de herbario, se determinó que este espécimen corresponde al género Oxyrhynchus Brandegee (Fabaceae) el cual resultó ser un taxón no registrado en la flora panameña. El nuevo registro, O. trinervius (Donn. Sm.) Rudd, se ilustra mediante fotografías de las estructuras vegetativas y florales de material vivo.

  During a field trip to the corregimiento of Santa Rosa (Chiriquí province) in December 2019, a striking liana with purple-pink flowers, trifoliate leaves and trinerved blades was collected. Through the review of specialized taxonomic literature and comparisons of herbarium specimens, it was found that this specimen belongs to the genus Oxyrhynchus Brandegee (Fabaceae) which turned out to be a taxon not registered in the Panamanian flora. The new record, O. trinervius (Donn. Sm.) Rudd is illustrated with photographs of the vegetative and floral structures from living material.
