Este artículo tiene como propósito hacer una revisión minuciosa de las seis ediciones publicadas de la poesía de fray Manuel Martínez de Navarrete, con la intención de mostrar el proceso de construcción de sentido por medio del cual fue difundida e interpretada la obra del fraile. Además, también pretende dejar apuntado el camino que debería seguir el interesado en realizar la edición crítica de la poesía de Martínez de Navarrete.

The purpose of the article is that of making a detailed review of the six published editions of fray Manuel Martínez de Navarrete's poetry, under the intent of showing the construction process of the meaning by means of which, the friar's work is spread and interpreted. Moreover, the purpose is to mark the path that al/ those interested in doing critical editing of Martinez de Navarrete's poetry are to follow.
