    Los investigadores residentes en Japón han contribuido de manera importante al campo de la lingüística hispánica y no solo se han beneficiado de las investigaciones realizadas en España e Hispanoamérica. Este hecho –a menudo subestimado– es el tema central de esta presentación, la cual incluye numerosas referencias a los aportes que lingüistas japoneses e hispanos han ofrecido a este campo desde tierras niponas. En esta presentación se identifican tres herramientas que nos permiten a nosotros, los hispanistas en Japón, contribuir con mayor impacto a la lingüística hispánica: el debate lingüístico en base a la estadística y al trabajo de campo, la investigación colaborativa a nivel internacional y la lingüística contrastiva.

    Researchers in the field of Hispanic linguistics who reside in Japan have made important contributions to the field, and they have not only been the mere beneficiaries of the studies 23Fukushima conducted in Spain and Spanish America. This fact, too often underestimated, is the main topic of this presentation, which includes numerous references to the contributions made in this field by Japanese and Hispanic linguists in Japan. In this presentation, we identify three tools that allow us, Hispanists in Japan, to make a more impactful contribution to Hispanic linguistics: linguistic debates based on statistics and field work, collaborative research at the international level, and contrastive linguistics.
