Resumen de Crecimiento intrauterino en un grupo seleccionado de recién nacidos de Tacna

  OBJETIVO: Obtener una curva de crecimiento intrauterino normal propia y representativa de la población de Tacna y compararlo con las curvas de Lubchenco. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS:  Enrolamiento prospectivo de recién nacidos vivos sucesivos, pesaje, diagnóstico de edad gestacional por fecha de última menstruación, exclusión de patología materna y fetal; descarte de tabaquismo y desnutrición materna; se usó el Sistema Informático Perinatal (CLAP-OPS/OMS) y pruebas estadísticas necesarias. RESULTADOS: En 8,735 RN vivos seleccionados en 6 años (1995-2000); la semana 40 de gestación fue la más representativa (36,7% de RN), con un promedio de peso de 3514g. ± 403 g (percentiles 10, 50 y 90 fueron 2983, 3503 y 4062 g. respectivamente). Estos datos fueron significativamente diferentes a los de Lubchenco. CONCLUSIONES: Las curvas de crecimiento intrauterino (CCIU), según peso, talla, perímetro cefálico e índice ponderal en una población tacneña bien seleccionada, mostraron diferencia con las curvas de crecimiento de Lubchenco.

  OBJECTIVE: To obtain curve itself, representative of the population of Tacna and compared with standard curves Lubchenco intrauterine growth. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Prospective enrollment of successive live newborns, weighing, diagnosis of gestational age by last menstrual period, excluding maternal and fetal pathology; discarding smoking and maternal malnutrition; the Perinatal Information System (CLAP-PAHO / WHO) and statistics required tests was used. RESULTS: 8,735 living RN selected in six years (1995-2000); 40 weeks gestation was the most representative (36.7% of RN), with an average weight of 3514g. ± 403 g (percentile 10, 50 and 90 were 2983, 3503 and 4062 g. Respectively). These data were significantly different from Lubchenco. CONCLUSIONS: intrauterine growth curves (CCIU), according to weight, height, head circumference and weight index tacneña a well-selected population showed no difference with Lubchenco growth curves.
