  La cultura científica en la actualidad es fundamental para el desarrollo socio-económico-educativo de los países. En Paraguay se va concientizando paulatinamente sobre la cultura científica y tecnológica como herramienta primordial para la comunicación y la acción práctica que el ciudadano requiere para tomar decisiones adecuadas en el momento oportuno. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el tipo de fuentes de acceso a la información que son consultadas por profesores y estudiantes de los Institutos de Formación Docente de Gestión Pública en el Paraguay (FDs), a fin de determinar la presencia de la cultura científica y tecnológica en esta comunidad educativa. Para ello se realizó una encuesta a estudiantes y profesores de los institutos, ubicados en la Región Oriental y Occidental del país. La misma revela que la población objeto de estudio se informa principalmente a través de la televisión, los periódicos e internet. Resulta importante fortalecer la cultura científica en los IFDs y lograr que profesores y estudiantes incorporen las ciencias y otros temas afines para la toma de decisiones que inciden en su vida diaria.

  The scientific culture today is critical to the socio economic and educational development of the countries. In Paraguay it is gradually raising awareness of the scientific and technological culture as a primary tool for communication and practical action that requires citizens to make appropriate decisions in a timely manner. The aim of this paper is to analyze the type of sources of access to information that are viewed by teachers and students of the Teacher Training Institutes of Public Administration in Paraguay (IFDs) to determine the presence of scientific culture and technology in this educational community. This survey was conducted for students and teachers of high schools located in the Eastern and Western Region of the country. It revealed that the study population through television, newspapers and the internet. It is therefore important to strengthen the scientific culture in the IFDs and get teachers and students to incorporate science and related topics for making decisions that affect their daily lives.
