    El Programa Nacional de Incentivos a los Investigadores (PRONII), dependiente del Consejo Nacional de Ciencias y Tecnología, (CONACYT), desde el año 2011 busca fomentar y fortalecer la comunidad científica, categorizando en tres niveles a los investigadores: I, II y III con incentivos económicos. A partir de eso, la producción científica y el interés por ella en Paraguay fue aumentando, aunque la brecha existente en comparación con los otros países sigue siendo notoria. La visibilidad de producciones científic se mide a través de citaciones por artículos o autores. El objetivo del trabajo, es realizar un análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica de los investigadores categorizados por el PRONII en el área de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, así como identificar la visibilidad e impacto de los mismos, en el periodo comprendido entre 2003 al 2013. Para la realización del trabajo fue utilizada la base de datos Google Scholar (GS), a través del software Publish or Perish y la del CONACYT. Se han localizado 21 investigadores categorizados, de los cuales 13 tienen visibilidad a nivel. internacional. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran actividades sostenidas en las áreas, pero se debería potenciar la publicación en revistas de alto impacto, para aumentar la visibilidad de la investigación paraguaya.

    The National Program of Incentives for Researchers (PRONII) depends upon the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) since 2011, it promotes and strengthens the scientific community by categorizing researchers into three levels: I, II and III, each with financial incentives. From here on, production development and scientific interest in Paraguay started to rise, though the existing gap is still highly significant in comparison to other countries. The visibility of the scientific productions is measured through citations by articles or authors. The aim of the work is to make a bibliometrical analysis of the scientific production of researchers categorized by the PRONII in the area of social sciences and humanities as well as identify the visibility and[ impact thereof, within the period 2003-2013. The work was carried out by using Google Scholar's database (GS) through the Publish or Perish software and that of the CONACYT. It was found that 13 researchers have international visibility among 21 categorized researchers. The results show that activities are sustained within the areas and the time period that were analyzed, but their publications should be enhanced in scientific journals of high impact to increase the visibility of the Paraguayan scientific research.
