    Se examina la información que las fuentes árabes nos ofrecen sobre la estancia en Silves del joven príncipe Muḥammad Ibn cAbbād, después rey al-Muctamid, como gobernador del Algarve (g. aprox. 1052-8), su relación con Ibn cAmmār, y sus primeros años de amor con Rumaykīya, así como la pervivencia de Silves como motivo literario entre el poeta y político de Silves y el rey de Sevilla.

    The information that Arab chronicles offer us about the stay in Silves of the young prince Muḥammad Ibn cAbbād, later king al-Muctamid, as governor of the Algarve (g. approx. 1052-8) is ana-lyzed. This is related to his relationship with Ibn cAmmār, and his first years of love with Rumaykīya, as well as the survival of Silves as a literary motif between the poet and politician of Silves and the king of Seville.
