Resumen de Oportunidad de Gestión Empresarial para la Administración, Conservación y Explotación Turística Sustentable de Sitios Patrimoniales en Panamá

  Luego de varios años de haber escrito dos artículos sobre sitios históricos y patrimoniales en Panamá: uno que trata de los caminos reales y otro acerca de los búnkeres militares construidos por los norteamericanos en la antigua “Zona del Canal”, ha llegado el momento de señalar las oportunidades existentes para la gestión del patrimonio histórico, lo cual nos lleva a formularnos la interrogante: ¿Cómo el patrimonio histórico con potencial turístico en Panamá puede ser gestionado por la empresa privada, para su descubrimiento, investigación, conservación y explotación sustentable?, ya sea con fines lucrativos o no, con tal de ser debidamente administrados, alejados de los vaivenes políticos o de la desidia de las cuestionables administraciones gubernamentales.

  After several years of having written two articles on historical and patrimonial sites in Panama: one that deals with the highways and another about the military bunkers built by the North Americans in the old "Canal Zone", the time has come to point out the existing opportunities for the management of the historical heritage, which leads us to formulate the question: How the historical heritage with tourism potential in Panama can be managed by the private company, for its discovery, investigation, conservation and sustainable exploitation? whether for profit or not, as long as they are duly managed, away from political ups and downs or the negligence of questionable government administrations.
