    En  Cuba se desarrolla el perfeccionamiento del Subsistema de Educación Especial en este proceso una pieza clave es comprender el rol del docente en el proceso de inclusión social del discapacitado. Este trabajo expone un análisis teórico/metodológico del rol del maestro de la Educación Especial para la inclusión social del discapacitado. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se empleó la metodología del paradigma cuanti-cualitativo sistematizado mediante los métodos análisis-síntesis, la inducción-deducción, entrevistas, cuestionarios, el análisis documental. Las conclusiones obtenidas manifiestan algunas falencias de los maestros de la Educación Especial, lo que precisa de la construcción teórico metodológico de dicho rol.

    In Cuba, the improvement of the Special Education Subsystem  in this proces, a key piece is to understand the role of the teacher in the process of social inclusion of the disabled. This work presents a theoretical / methodological analysis of the characterization of the role of the Special Education teacher for the social inclusion of the disabled. For the development of the research, the methodology of the quantitative-qualitative paradigm systematized through analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, interview, questionnaire, documentary analysis methods was used. The conclusions, some shortcomings have been identified in the role of Special Education teachers, which constitutes a wake-up call, that requires the theoretical-methodological construction of said role.
