  • Resumen
    • The economic crisis of the last decade increased the number of people living in poverty conditions in Europe. However, poverty condition today is not only related to unemployment, but mostly to new types of job, called poor jobs. Thus, job does not always have positive con¬sequences on well-being. The aim of this contribution is to show how, from a psychological perspective, poor jobs have negative consequences at the individual level. The Psychology of Working Theory (PWT) and the Self Determination Theory (SDT) are two important theoretical frameworks used to understand how social and psychological factors affect this relationship. Some examples are analyzed to show possible negative experiences in the workplace.
