Resumen de Alfabetização de crianças surdas em língua portuguesa

  O principal objetivo deste estudo é apresentar reflexões sobre a alfabetização de crianças surdas em língua portuguesa – LP (GESSER, 2009; PEREIRA, 2011; KAIL, 2013; FREITAS, 2020). Busca-se compreender elementos que precisam ser considerados nos processos de ensino e de aprendizagem da palavra escrita para crianças surdas. A análise empreendida traça paralelos com a alfabetização de crianças ouvintes, considerando uma diferença crucial entre estas e as crianças surdas: enquanto para a criança ouvinte, a alfabetização em língua portuguesa envolve a aprendizagem da escrita de sua própria língua materna, para a criança surda, essa alfabetização envolve a aprendizagem da escrita de uma segunda língua que, inclusive, é oral e não sinalizada, como a sua língua materna, a Língua Brasileira de Sinais – Libras. Aponta-se, como conclusão, que é fundamental conhecer a natureza das línguas sinalizadas e também tomar a Libras como referência no processo de alfabetização de crianças surdas em LP.

  The main objective of this study is to present reflections on the literacy of deaf children in Portuguese language -LP (GESSER, 2009; PEREIRA, 2011; KAIL, 2013; FREITAS, 2020). It seeks to understand elements that need to be considered in the processes oft eaching and learning the written word for deaf children. The analysis undertaken draws parallels with the literacy of hearing children, considering a crucial difference between these and deaf children: while for the hearing child, literacy in Portuguese language involves learning the writing of his own mother tongue, for the deaf child, this literacy involves learning the writing of a second language that is also oral and not signaled, as their mother tongue, the Brazilian Sign Language -Libras. It is pointed out, in conclusion, that it is essential to know the nature of sign languages and also to take Libras as a reference in the literacy process of deaf children in LP.
