  El presente trabajo, sobre los aymaras del altiplano peruano en el bicentenario de la independencia del Perú, tiene como objetivo analizar e interpretar la situación de representación y participación política actual de la población asentada en el sur del país. En primera instancia se describe la realidad de los aymaras; en segundo lugar, se analiza la representación en los diferentes espacios de poder; en tercer lugar, se interpretan los procesos de homogenización y de resistencia. Se concluye que, a pesar de los procesos de exclusión y homogenización que se vivieron, aún siguen vigente sus prácticas tradicionales como cultura. Si bien no se evidencia la representación política legitima del pueblo aymara en el bicentenario, ello constituye en una agenda pendiente por afrontar desde sus diferentes actores y sectores

  This paper deals with the Aymara of the Peruvian Altiplano in the bicentennial, whose objective is to analyze and interpret the situation of representation and current political participation of the population settled in the south of Peru. The methodology is ethnographic, because it describes the different historical facts that have marked the visibility of the Aymara people, in addition, two focal groups and interviews to different leaders have been applied; the historiographic information referred to the bicentennial has also been reviewed. In the results, in the first instance, it contextualizes the reality of the Aymara of the Peruvian Altiplano in the bicentennial; secondly, it analyzes the Aymara representation in the different spaces of power; and thirdly, it interprets the processes of homogenization and the Aymara resistance. It concludes that despite the processes of exclusion and homogenization that the Aymara people lived through, it is still in force, even though there is no evidence of a legitimate political representation of the Aymara people in the bicentennial, which constitutes a pending agenda to be faced by its different actors and sectors.
