Resumen de La tradición egipcia en las esculturas de Cleopatra VII

En este artículo se estudiarán los elementos de tradición egipcia que aparecen en las esculturas de Cleopatra VII. Para ello, es necesario conocer las diversas representaciones de la ptolemaica en las esculturas griegas y egipcias. El objetivo es centrarnos en la presencia de la tradición del antiguo Egipto en ellas. Además, tratamos de recrear una imagen más histórica de la reina, alejada del mito, en la que veremos cómo se implicó en perpetuar las tradiciones griegas y egipcias y mantener el poder del país nilótico.

In this paper we will study the Egyptian elements that appear in Cleopatra VII´s sculptures. In order to do it, we will study different representations in sculptures from the queen, in Greek and Egyptian style. The objective is, first, to identify and analyze elements that come from the Ancient Egyptian tradition, and second, to recreate a more historical image of the queen, far from the myth, in which we will see how she was involved in perpetuating Greek and Egyptian traditions and maintaining the power of the Nilotic country.
