Resumen de El embarazo adolescente y su repercusión en el desarrollo académico

  Los resultados de las decisiones apresuradas de los jóvenes, respecto de su sexualidad, se perciben en las clínicas particulares y en los hospitales públicos, nos referimos al embarazo precoz en adolescentes el cual es considerado un problema de salud pública. Del estudio realizado, se observa que la edad promedio en que las adolescentes inician su actividad sexual es casi a los 14 años; y en los varones un año antes, los especialistas consultados encuentran una relación entre la edad del debut y los factores sociales, culturales, económicos y otras causas que rodean a los púberes. El embarazo precoz compromete el binomio madre – hijo pues este grupo vulnerable tiene mayor riesgo de aborto, parto pre-término o cesárea por inmadurez fisiológica.

  Por lo antes expuesto, entendemos que el embarazo de las adolescentes es producto de una escasa información y educación sexual, por esto es importante que los jóvenes conozcan todo lo relacionado con esta actividad natural pero que debe ser realizada en la edad y circunstancias adecuadas, en un marco de respeto y autoestima, conociendo las responsabilidades y deberes que éstas implican a fin de que sus estudios no se vean interrumpidos o alterados. Debemos aprovechar las oportunidades que tenemos como docentes para llegar a nuestros estudiantes con consejos preventivos y oportunos.

  The results of the hasty decisions of young people, regarding their sexuality, are perceived in private clinics and public hospitals, we refer to early pregnancy in adolescents which is considered a public health problem. From the study conducted, it is observed that the average age at which adolescents initiate their sexual activity is almost at 14 years; and in the males a year before, the consulted specialists find a relation between the age of the debut and the social, cultural, economic factors and other causes that surround the pubescents. Early pregnancy compromises the mother - child binomial because this vulnerable group has a higher risk of miscarriage, pre - term delivery or cesarean section due to physiological immaturity.

  For the above reasons, we understand that adolescent pregnancy is the product of scarce information and sexual education, so it is important that young people know everything related to this natural activity but that it must be carried out in the appropriate age and circumstances, in a framework of respect and self-esteem, knowing the responsibilities and duties that these imply so that their studies are not interrupted or altered. We must take advantage of the opportunities we have as teachers to reach our students with preventive and timely advice.
